Dr. Daniel A. Falk serves as the President of the Board of Directors for The Wellness Council for South Carolina. Dr. Falk’s enthusiasm for helping people can be seen each day in his chiropractic practice. He not only treats patients, but educates the public to live active, healthy and happy lives. Dr. Falk brings this enthusiasm to The Wellness Council to help it achieve the mission of improving the health of all of South Carolina. Dr. Falk received his Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) from Parker College of Chiropractic, Cum Laude, with a B.S. in Anatomy. He also received a B.A. in Biological Sciences, with a Minor in Economics from Rutgers College, Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Although Dr. Falk specializes in a family Chiropractic practice, he also has significant training in sports chiropractic; having worked with tri-athletes as an “IronDoc” at the Iron Man Championship Competition in Hawaii, and he was the official chiropractic physician of the Carolina Spartans, the Professional Women’s Football Team of Myrtle Beach. He also serves as Past-President of the South Carolina Chiropractic Association through 2013, as well as a member of The American Chiropractic Association, Kiwanis of Conway, Rotary of Conway, Conway Chamber of Commerce, and the Conway Toastmasters.
Jessica Piezzo is a long-time resident of Horry County and has been working in Public Health for almost 10 years. She is a 2004 graduate of Coastal Carolina University where she obtained her B.S. in Health Promotion. After graduation, she went to work for a non-profit organization in Horry County assisting uninsured residents with access to health care services. While there, Jessica became a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and began attending grad school. In 2010, she accepted a position with SC DHEC as a Health Educator working in tobacco prevention and control. During this time, Jessica graduated from Rowan University with a Masters Degree in Health Promotion Management. In 2012, she became the Pee Dee Regional Program Coordinator for the SC Tobacco-Free Collaborative where she was able to continue her work in tobacco prevention. As of June 2015, Jessica returned to the SC DHEC as part of the Community Systems Team.
